It was whilst watching my own kids choose books that I came up with the idea for the Tidybooks bookcase. Like most children, they pulled books out from a conventional shelf to look at the front covers, rather than choose them from the spines. And, of course, all of the books ended up in a messy pile on the floor!

It will also encourage your kids to enjoy tidying their books after a big reading session, or even get them arranging books in order of size... if they are so inclined.
