Getting your little one into their seat need not be a chore. The Vaya features a 360° rotation mechanism which means the seat can be faced towards your vehicle's door, promoting independence for your child and saving your back because you won't be stretching across to fit them in! It also means that your child can stay rear facing for longer (it's well known that rear facing is the safest way for an infant to travel) up to 105cm (approximately 4 years) but if you wish to change the direction the seat faces, a Driving Direction Control prevents you doing so until your child reaches 76cm tall (around 16 months) for extra safety.
Your little one will be comfy inside the Vaya- not only is the seat comfortably padded, but it reclines to 5 positions when facing rearwards, or 3 positions when facing forwards to offer a restful sleep on longer journeys. The headrest is adjustable to 12 positions so the seat grows with your child. A 5-point harness strap keeps your little one in place safely, and the straps are magnetic so when your child is getting in they are held out of the way for ease of use. The beautiful fabric covers are removable and machine washable at 30°c for your convenience too.
Let's talk about safety. The Vaya is as safe as can be, tested up to the rigorous i-Size standard and beyond. It features ER-TECH, Energy Reduction Technology which reduces forces on the neck in the event of a head-on collision. It's activated as the forces reach their full impact- the headrest slides down and locks into position, progressively limiting the neck's exposure to impact forces. The Vaya also features a Linear Side-impact Protection system (LSP) which is integrated into the seat shell and can be folded out on the side nearest the door of the vehicle. The LSP sends the force of a side impact collision through the energy absorbing shell of the seat instead of through your child.
To make the Vaya i-Size, a base is built in. It allows you to connect the seat into your vehicle easily with a simple, one-click system, attaching to the vehicles ISOFIX connection points (consult your vehicles handbook to see if it has ISOFIX points) and a sturdy leg prop keeps the seat level and stable. Indicators on the ISOFIX points and leg prop make it almost impossible to fit incorrectly.
