Some i-Size bases will allow for the second stage car seat, but not all. It is important to check compatibility before making a purchase.

The process is simple as all of you are essentially locking the base into place. Once installed, you should try to move the seat base to see if it wobbles. If it does, you just need to tighten the fixings some more.

Firstly, you must find your car's Isofix fitting points, either underneath the car seat or next to the seat belt clip. These simple metal bars allow the base to be clipped onto them. You will hear a click by aligning the base and pushing it back firmly, indicating a safe installation. You can also look for the colour indicator points on the metal bars to double-check that the base has been securely and correctly. 

The car seat then simply clips onto the base, and you are good to go! Many parents much prefer Isofix because it's simple to fit and allows an instant view of whether it's safe to use.

To begin with, select the desired spot in the rear of the car and ensure the area is free from dirt or debris. Then, tread the seat belt through the base and secure it in place. You must tighten and adjust unless the belted seat base shows no signs of moving around.
